Japanese cuisine is the national cuisine of the Japanese. It is distinguished by a preference for natural, minimally processed products, wide use of seafood, seasonality, characteristic dishes. Japanese cuisine is usually a key attraction for tourists from other countries.
The classic format of an informal meal is rice, soup and several side dishes: fish (usually grilled or boiled), salt and vegetables. All these dishes are served in small bowls, from where they are eaten with sticks. The most popular seasonings are soy sauce and wasabi. Of the drinks in Japan, they prefer green tea, beer and sake.
